My wife and I are full-time RVers and we make it a point to search out five star rated campgrounds. We have found very few, but this one most certainly makes the grade! The owner and his wife have turned this average campground around in the four years they have owned it into a world-class vacation spot. Absolutely beautiful on the banks of the Israel and Connecticut Rivers, just across the Ve...

The camp operators have done an outstanding job with this campground. one of them met us at the gate and immediately got us settled into our campground with excellent back-in instructions. The sites are level and spacious. There are trees and shrubs between sites for privacy. The comfort station has individual bathrooms, each with its own shower. Laundry facilities are in the same building. ...

Very clean and well maintained campground. Showers and restrooms were clean. The sites are all back in. The full hookup sites we have used (24 and 25) are mostly level. Site 24 I did not have to do any leveling at all. Camp sites are large and most have shade. The premium site have a view of the Mississippi river.

ignore the Old Kettle Falls Road address. Our GPS took us 6 miles out of the way trying to find the park that way. It doesn't help that the small blue and yellow sign on Rt. 20 is easy to miss either. My Iphone had it at 16330 N. Highway 21, Republic, WA and went right to it. Turn off of Rt. 20 onto Hwy 21 at the red and white Cenex Station. The park is just a short distance on the right. Th...

We stayed the end of July 2018 for the weekend without a toad (car) The campsite was clean and good size with just enough privacy between. We will be going back to Ft. DeSoto Campground, everyone was so friendly, We highly recommend it.

By far my favorite campground! We always get a site on the water and spend every day bass fishing. Pools are clean and since there is 3 of them, plenty of room to swim. Our last visit we planned to stay 2 days and ended up staying 12. The owner is very involved and tries hard to make everyone's stay here perfect. Recently she made some changes to the "bay side" sites to allow more room bet...

Very wooded sites. Depending on where your hookups are located, you might need extra water and electric hoses. We were in site B 10 - very nice, clean site. We did not take advantage of the water activities or the archery range. We did take a short hike on one of the trails. We did not use the showers. The rooms were clean. We were not looking for any planned activities, just wanted to get away ...

Beautiful, quiet location with wildlife viewing to enjoy. Hands on, friendly owners. Daily trash pickup at your site, hiking trails and access to Rainmakers and the racetrack Jockey club. WiFi was difficult to connect to. Local car rental company drop off/pick up service was convienent as we did not tow this trip.

This is a wonderful small park maintained with love and attention to detail. The bathrooms are old but spotless and there are no sewer hook ups so not really used by large RVs. There is a state park feel to the campground with big heavily forested sites. It is close to Alder Lake State Park and Mount Ranier and on a summer weekend you will want to be at both parks early in the morning. We were...

With 17 years of recreational RVing, I will say this is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. It's under new ownership, so any reviews over a year old are irrelevant, as the park has been entirely re-done. The park renovation indicates that it was designed by someone who has done RVing. Our spot was large enough that another unit could have shared it with us. The park has all new grav...

Circumstances beyond our control caused us to need to find a place to stay at the last minute, and this campground was very accommodating. The owner was very friendly. The campground is beautiful and well maintained. There is a lake across the road. We got two pull through sites (we were two rv's traveling together) which had gravel pads and plenty of green grass between. I don't remembe...

We stayed on a promotion from their website that requires you to listen to a sales pitch... The campground is very quiet and kid friendly as well as great for the retired crowd and everyone in between. It has lots of amenities such as a camp store, putt-putt golf, basketball, swings, playground, dog run, laundry, fire rings, picnic tables, pool and hot tub, wi-fi and more. It is a membership camp...

This is a jewel of a park. The "big sister", Bastrop SP, is just NE of Buescher and easy to go to with the park road but it was packed. Buescher is nice and quiet and a lovely park. If you want a quiet place, this is it. The rangers are great. The sites are small, however. No problem with our 18 foot. There are a few longer but bigger rigs could get into the smaller ones. They just need to...

Very impressed with clean restrooms, office, laundry and even a little vegetable garden where you can pick free veggies to enjoy!! Sites are spacious! Even good wifi and cable included!! And finally a good place to have dogs, and people cleaned up! Fun sign said take a photo of anyone not cleaning up after their dog and the deposit! Give it to the office and they would talk to the dog owner.

We stayed at eight different camp grounds on our 2 1/2 week trip. This was the most expensive one, but we have stayed here before and really like it. The sites are large and grassy. There is a cute little bar on site. The staff is helpful and friendly, as are the seasonal campers. There is a swimming pond with a trampoline in the middle of it, and a jumping pad on the beach. We didn't have ki...

This is the second year we've stayed here for an overnight stay on our way out east. This is a very nice, very well maintained, quiet campground. They have quite a few turkeys that wander around here too.

A fabulous place to stay with your horses in beautiful country! This visit was hassle and headache free because of the owner and her facility. She is available to help with any of your needs or travel snafus and will keep an eagle eye on the condition of your horses. Her place is warm and welcoming. As a single gal traveling with horses cross country, the owner helps to make your stay stress free....

Park is next door to the fair grounds Park will NOT accept mail or packages for RVers. This is a beautfiul park right on Bear Creek with a nice big pond. Very well lined up with nose and tail of the RV facing East and West. Park was built in 2017 so trees are small but each site has large grass area on each side and beautiful landscaping. Access of Hiway 5 was easy and entrance to park is by g...

Central Idaho is a great spot for a summer trek. Those that make the journey enjoy views of the scenic Sawtooth Mountains, rushing rivers, towering forest, and epic amounts of open space for camping. The high altitude provides for cool summer evenings so there is no need to run your air conditioner. If you find […]

For people who enjoy boondocking away from it all, a lot can go into the decision on where to set up your rig. Where is the ideal view? Is the site flat? Where is the closest fishing hole? But many people don’t think about the overall safety of their chosen campsite until it is too […]

A wise friend once advised, “before anyone gets married, they need to do two things together: complete a house renovation project and go on a long road trip.” Nothing brings out all the quirks, ticks, and annoying habits of your partner like being in a small space together 24/7. Add in a stressful situation like […]
