You just can't beat the location of this campground. The waterfront sites are great and highly recommended! We've stayed here twice and really enjoyed both times. It's not cheap, but it's worth it in our opinion. They have a great pool, small beach area with chairs, playground & dog park. They also have a really nice fire pit area with many tables for relaxing with others.

Had a wonderful time here with two other family members in their RV and camper. Clean quiet updated bathrooms and friendly couple who runs the campground.

This is our last day and we hate to leave. Our experience at Persimmon was outstanding. The owners keep a very clean, well maintained campground, trout pond and gem mining. There is something for everyone, kids or adults, here. We have a 34 foot class A. So we had all the hookups. Everything worked well. This was a safe haven during these difficult times of Covid. The owners, Karen and Tony, we...

We read one of the prior reviews and decided to head to Almanor Legacy Campground. We showed up on a Wednesday in July and there was one spot available so we lucked out. The site is surrounded by tall pine trees so it’s pretty shady. The site is a large level asphalt parking space. We had plenty of room for our camper, boat, and truck. We got spot #9 and used the 30a electric and water. We really ...

This is a really neat and huge state park. We stayed in Juniper Loop in a 42' motorhome the sites in this section were fairly level with good spacing and a nice layout. The inner spots are back in and the outer ring are pull through loop sites. We stayed in an inner back in space and had no issues getting our rig in. Juniper is a short walk from the cave which we recommend checking out. The...

Excellent location, and easy access, just off Interstate 95. The signage, coming into the park is very well done. This mid-sized park is set up for Rallies, with a separate club room, full kitchen, and several large gazebos for outdoor gatherings. They also have a several tidy cabins for rent. The pool and play areas are immaculate. There are few sites with shade, but the park is surrounded wi...

This is a perfect overnight spot. You will be parking in an airport parking lot that has the perimeter lined with camping spots with picnic tables. Just off the asphalt is grass. Each spot is marked and has water and electric. The airport is very quiet having very little aircraft traffic and those are only small private aircraft. The pay kiosk is honor system. The several times we have stayed ther...

Had read an earlier review about the park and asked the campground about it before we booked. They admitted they hadn’t kept it up when it wasn’t fully open during the pandemic. We found the park was clean, new, and had friendly staff. Well maintained. Used the laundry facility, which conveniently was open 24/7 and had a change machine. Location was great, within walking distance to Boot Hill, the...

As others have commented, it is a steep, winding, and narrow road up to the campground. However, we didn't find it to be worse than several other Ga. State parks in the mountains. Glad to have the transmission oil cooler, but really had no issue with the climb. Downhill will be more interesting. Stayed in site 31 in a 33' 5th wheel. Did have a little difficulty getting into the site...

Campground is very nice, with easy walking access to Fallen Leaf Lake, campsites are spread out, and many meadows separate the sites so it doesn't feel crowded for a 200 site park. For RV's there are no hookups, however there is a dedicated fresh water fill spigot on the way out. and every water spigot within the park had hose thread, so you would be able to attach a hose and fill your...

This is an excellent campground. We didn't realize until too late how connected it is to the rest of the Angel Fire Resort system, including golf course, country club and nice lake. There is lots to do all around, especially outdoor activities, although Taos is a tedious 25+ min drive each way through the mountains - it gets old. So if you're looking for a convenient home base for man...

One of the cleanest and well kept parks we have stayed at so far. Everyone was very really kind, friendly and helpful. Lots of space in our spot we parked our 42’ fifth wheel, tow vehicle and 4 door Jeep and still had room for the picnic table and none of it was cramped. Lot 39 is big. A short walk to lake side with great fishing and picnic spots... a must see sunset!

Nice park just outside Altoona. It was an overnight stop for us and they made sure to put us in a pullthru where we wouldn't have to unhook. Owner was quite pleasant. Water pressure was very good, electrical hook-up had no issues. Did not use bathhouse or laundry. Had great AT&T service. Took a bit to get level, but not a big deal.

After reading other reviews I figured that I should give this place a fair and true review. We stayed 4 nights (4th night free) and enjoyed our time here fully. This place is for families and people who want to enjoy themselves. If this is not you, stay somewhere else. Leave this place to those that are wanting to enjoy life.

Spent a nice relaxing week at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. And I had a very nice stay. Had a nice spacious site for my 26’ Class A, and it happened to be next to the showers. Score! Very well maintained, with a mix of R’s, and tent campers. The family in front of me were tent campers, a couple with two little girls. They also have a bunch of horse corrals, for the trails in the area. Plenty o...

Campsite was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed on an overnight while traveling. We will use this campground again and recommend it to anyone.

This is a very nice, peaceful campground. It’s close to the interstate yet there’s no road noise. It’s surrounded by beautiful corn fields and farmhouses which creates a kind of tranquility. But the best part was the staff. A very nice lady warmly greeted us and I think she may be an owner. I’m considering taking my family to this campground as a simple destination to get out of town.

All full hookup sites are pull thru, 30-50 amp with picnic tables and fire rings. Wood and ice are available on site. Sites are gravel and very large. I fit my 34-foot trailer with room on both ends for my crew cab long bed pickup. You can also camp with a friend camp side to camp side. Pet friendly and you can have a tent on your site. Only complaint would be how the sites are laid out. The patio...
