Manistique is a newer city park with 50 spots right on the coast of Lake Michigan. There seem to be a few tent only sites, but most are back in concrete pads with full hookups. We just finished a 3 night stay at Sned-Acres Family Campground in Ovid, New York. Debbie was beyond phenomenal. We were having RV troubles and she waited up for us after hours; guided us to our exact RV stop. Beyond gracious customer service. Amazing bathrooms that are better than any KOA that I have been to. Everything was open and the activities were fun for the kids and us adults (tie die shirts, scavenger hunts, bingo). The site, as a whole, is very well maintained and the staff takes pride in their site. A bit pricey but I still highly recommend this KOA even though they all seem to be Penn State fans (jk).

Crooked River is a clean well managed state park near St. Mary's Ga. Sites are flat and easily accessible due to wide roads. The park is quiet and the sites are perfectly spaced for privacy. Was our 1st time here, will not be our last. Sites were spaced apart with trees in between and all around. Some sites including ours had a slant to pad. I Loved this location. Our site was well shaded by Oak trees. Has a beach on Tangipahoa River and swimming pool. Gave us a great weekly rate. Easy in and out. Plenty room on sites. Nice trails to hike and take our dog for walks. Beautiful peacocks wander the grounds and come to visit sites as they are very use to people. The owners are very nice and accommodating.
