We thought this was a great place to stay. We like smaller parks where the sites aren't on top of one another; you could see a couple of neighbors, but not the whole park. Nothing extravagant, but everything you need if you like being in nature. Beautiful scenery and great places to hike/walk around. We will definitely go back.

This is a large parking lot with no hookups at all, make sure you have empty black and grey tanks with full fresh water. There is no place to fill fresh water but there is a septic company phone number provided for vacuuming holding tanks at a price. A shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes to the casino and security is great in and around the RV spaces. We attended a concert at the casino and had ...

This was our 3rd stopover at Ambassador RV Resort. It's become our go-to RV park when we travel from Portland to Salt Lake and beyond. Ambassador RV Resort is a "Big City" facility for "Big Rig" travelers who want a safe, full-service "camping" experience when they visit the Boise metro area or transit along the I-84 corridor. We found the grounds and facilities (pool, clubhouse, dog walk, et...

We've stayed in this RV park a couple times and love this park. It's got great showers, 2 dog parks, a dog wash that has a groomers tub, a fantastic pool, and club house. The sites are nice with level concrete slabs. Some even have grass. The paved roads are easy to navigate. Theres a shuttle to the casino. This time we ate at Thunder Road and very much enjoyed our meals. The Wifi...

Such a wonderful weekend, that I stayed an extra night! Right on Rio Bonito, it was both beautiful and relaxing. Just what I needed! The staff was exceptional and friendly, upon checking in...also bringing firewood to each site, and cleaning trash cans. Even raking each site, after guests left. I've already made a reservation for 2020!

Outstanding RV Park. We stayed 2 nights in site 309. (Pull In) The site is elevated over looking the park and the 395 highway. Great view of the meadow on the other side of the highway and the mountains. Behind us are the jagged cliffs. Spectacular views from where ever you look. The camp is under new ownership. The new owners know what they are doing. Very friendly and will bend over back...

First time in a State park and really enjoyed it although it rained most of the time. All the sites are pull through and has plenty of room. Like most parks the ants are rampant and bite and it appeared that I may have encountered sand fleas. The Hosts are wonderful and attentive, loved talking to them.Although no dog park plenty of space to walk the babies!

Nice RV Park. It's a Hidden Treasure. The staff is so friendly and always available to help. Management is amazing. The park it self is quiet, clean, walking or biking distance to stores, beaches, restaurants. Tons to do and see. Close to Tarpon Springs and Honeymoon Island. Friendly people and lots of activities. We loved it here!

This is a US Forest Service campground, about 9.7 miles south of Monticello, UT, and 13 miles north of Blanding on the west side of Rt. 191. 42 excellent dry camp spaces. Water is available at several places in the park, but you may not connect to it. Use a container. The pull through sites run parallel to the road and are easily maneuverable. The following says it all. I reserved a space for...

Cabins are fitted with most amenities including bedding and bath towels. Kitchen has everything from a pizza cutter to a cake pan! All cabins have WiFi, gas grill, fire pit with firewood (enough to last us two nights). Lakefront views and close access to large beach and rental items. We were able to fish from the shore and docks. We will definitely be back!

This COE park is the nicest one we've stayed at so far in our travels, and we've been to 19 that are still managed by them, and a few that have been turned over to the state to manage. The sites are level, many are very long (ours was listed as 106'), and there are a variety of hookup configurations including some FHU. All have 50-amp electric, and 24 sites have water and sewer. The...

There should be a separate rating system for dry camp facilities. From my experiences, this campground is a 10. Some will down rate it because it provides no hook-up or facilities, although this one provides toilets, which are as clean as any you will find. It does provide a river with easy access. Some sites have lots of shade, some have full open skies. You can fish, kayak, tube float, swim...

Northern Quest RV Resort is a shiny new RV park near the Northern Quest casino. They have a shuttle that runs to/from the casino. Currently, they only have regular and "deluxe" back-in sites, although they are building more sites, including pull-thrus. They are a bit pricey, but on par with other properties in the area. The grounds are immaculate, the sites are huge and will accommodate any ri...

A beautiful quiet park on the shores of Barkley Lake. Very quiet small campground with views of the lake and a few waterfront sites. Beautiful sunsets! Sites vary in size but there are a couple that can accommodate a medium size rig. Access roads are very narrow but we not have a problem in a 35 foot class A towing a Jeep. We were in the area researching family history and it was a great base...

I had a blowout before I got into Broken Bow and was looking for a nice shady spot to layover under the tire shop opened on Monday. The lady who helped me was super nice and friendly. The creek side has the prettiest view. The bathroom and showers were super clean both days I was there. Nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay again if I’m passing through. Great WiFi too. Rock surface and ...

Beautiful resort! Facilities and grounds are clean and well manicured! Having the casino within walking distance was great - great food and good prices. Our site was a deluxe site with picnic table and grass for our pets. This resort is a very pet friendly park. The clubhouse is beautiful and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the restrooms ! Beautiful! I have posted photos of the resort!...

Nice campground, very close to Frankfort. Our spot was right on Elkhorn creek. with a fully wooded view across the creek (non-campground property). Quiet campground but also had folks out enjoying campfires in the evening. Free ice cream social from 7-7:30 as well at the office / camp store.

We love this park. Super friendly staff. Lots of activities/crafts for kids. Pool is large and heated. Hot tub is brand new (was locked on this trip, not sure why). We stayed in section F. Very large private sites. This is a large park. We prefer sections D, E, F, & G. They're a long walk to the pool and lodge but the sites are larger and more private. Water and electric at every site. Sewer ...

The Corps of Engineers does everything right here at Sweetwater. Super clean campground, spacious sites, and plenty of open grounds. A lovely park! Great swimming beach with clean sand and a large area roped off with floats. Pretty views of the lake from every loop. Staff was super helpful. We used Sweetwater as an overnight stop and it was a perfect choice.

This is the nicest campground we have ever been in. Beautiful landscaping, extra wide concrete pads. WiFi wasn't the strongest, but it was doable.

Very friendly staff. Trash pick-up from your site all day. Easy to get to park, and easy to navigate within. Roads and sites are packed sand. Had rain while we were there and it drained well. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. The row I was in was full sun -no trees. There were other sites that were wooded though. Bathrooms up to date, clean & stocked. Nice campground, still think price w...

In the last installment, we ventured to Nevada’s Eagle Valley and explored Echo Canyon State Park’s scenic Ash Canyon. The unusual thing about Eagle Canyon is the abundance (by Nevada standards) of flowing water. This water first drew the Fremont people over a thousand years ago who hunted and gathered, then farmers and ranchers in […]
