Our 2-day stay was our 2nd stop at Huntington Beach St Pk. Honestly, if the weather accommodates, and it usually does during the spring and fall months, there isn't a more beautiful, well-managed, and well-maintained beach-front state park on the East Coast. As others have said, the south section CG was recently opened and its sites had sewer service, but, for us, it's more a paved par...

Clean resort, friendly helpful staff, and the best resort around the Savannah area. I can’t say enough about this resort. We stayed here for a month before moving to Colorado and love every day here. The sites are spaced nicely, and you don’t feel like everyone is on top of each other. The camp grounds are clean and maintained very well. There is a dog park and multiple trash cans with bags for yo...

Very clean class A park. Large paved lots overlooking a lake. an awesome pool and patio area. Many amenities pickle ball, fitness room, hot tub and most important to me was the large fenced in area for dog parks . One for small dogs and the other for the larger dogs. I would definitely recommend this park. 10 miles down the road, major stores and restaurants.

One of the first things you’ll notice when visiting Door County, Wisconsin is that the pace of life slows to a manageable level. While strolling any of the 14 communities, it’s a common sight to see couples arm-in-arm or holding hands. Door County is often referred to as “the Cape Cod of the Midwest.” Though […]

Stayed 1 night in 38' MH in a pull-through site. All sites are level gravel with large beautiful trees between each site. Utilities are in excellent shape with 20,30 & 50 amp at each site, tight fitting sewer and good water hookups. Had firewood for sale at $7 / small bundle (enough for 1 night's fire). It poured as we arrived, and ground drained quickly after rain stopped (see pics)...

We came here as an RV Club group with 12 RVs. The campground was perfect for our club outing. The clubhouse was wonderful for all of us to have our group dinners in and to play games. The owners take a lot of pride in this beautiful park. They are also very knowledgeable on things to do in the area. The campground has grass and fresh clean rocks so our RV stayed clean too. This setting was perfect...

Stayed 2 nights while visiting family in the Pittsburgh area in a 38' MH. Large secluded sites with water & 30 amp power. Site has sewer dump on site near restroom / shower, but this would be challenging to pull large MH up next to because it is set back from the road. Individual sites have what appears to be sewer - but they're either not sewer or not working. Nice lady work camping...

History abounds in Chesapeake, Virginia just south of Norfolk. All throughout this mid-Atlantic region are remnants of the past including the Jamestown settlement, Revolutionary War, and Civil War sites. If you explore the area this summer, consider using Northwest River Park Campground as your base. Located on the banks of the Northwest River in southeastern […]

The park has lots of trees and the new owner was very helpful and friendly. The park was less than 3 miles from the west glacier entrance. Look forward to staying there again!

After seven years of RVing, this is the nicest park we've ever stayed at. Everything was spotless and in working order. The roads and sites are all asphalt. The owners are on site and very helpful if needed. This is not a big park (about 30 sites) but all the sites are nice and have plenty of room. Other reviewers have left more details if you need them but suffice it to say that this is a to...

Initially reserved 3 nights then ended up in the area early and was able to add 2 nights as a walk in, in the same spot. Online booking is great. Beautiful park with river and mountain views. Easy 30 minute drive to Glacier NP. Quiet park. Great showers and laundry facility. Staff was very friendly. Playground with basketball and sand volleyball. Paved roads with mostly level gravel sites. Can acc...

This is a wonderful place to stay. So near Savannah and everything the town has to offer. This setting here is so relaxing on this 440 acre farm. Plenty of things to do from fishing to a beautiful swimming pool to swinging near the pond, walking, looking at all the farm animals and horses & the beautiful huge Live Oak trees. Lots were spacious and the staff was wonderful. Very comforting place to ...

Called prior to arrival and paid over the phone. Easy access to RV park. There's all the conveniences of a small post. No designated dog park but there are grassy areas across from the sites. Commissary is a 3 minute drive away. Sites are very level and long enough for RV and car with 30 ft to spare. We did pick up a rat in the propane tank area that needed to be removed. No campgr...

We are seasonal campers here. This is our second season. We love it here. It’s doesn’t have tons of amenities but it is well maintained and very friendly. The playground and pool are very nice. Every lot has full hook up so it is very easy to pull in and set up. It has new ownership and they are adding things each year. The store has been completely remodeled. They are really nice and helpful.

This is our favorite place to camp. It's close to great dining and shopping. Located on the river with excellent views and awesome fishing. We usually come here planning on staying a few days and end up staying a few weeks. This trip started out as a 3 day weekend and we've been here for 2 weeks and plan to stay another. Very clean showers. WiFi is a little slow at times. Great staff!

Very nice, clean, quiet and well maintained campground. Only 21 spaces, but some will hold up to a 40 footer. We had a 38' 5th Wheel and it fit with no problem. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend, but call first to make sure there is an opening.

Wow! That's all we can say about this park! We echo all, other recent reviews for this park, that it's a beautiful well manicured and cared for park. A true gem! $31.50 US dollars. It is just 1 kilometer off the main road on a dirt/gravel road, very good condition, but... there is NO traffic noise. All facilities are spotless, and showers are pay only, and they only accept Loonies! ($1.00...

If you have attended one of my seminars or followed this blog over the years it is no secret that I rely heavily on Google Earth to locate places to explore, roads to get there, boondocking campsites nearby and how to access them. A trip to explore the mining camp of Sprucemont, Nevada was no […]

When someone mentions boondocking, you typically think of public land in the western states. Mention boondocking and snowbirds in the same sentence and most people will narrow it down to the desert southwest and places like Quartzsite, Arizona where RVers migrate by the thousands every winter. But did you know that boondocking (dispersed camping) is […]
